A Shotgun Wedding // Alberta Prairie Wedding // Calgary Wedding Videographer

Ok, so it wasn't a "shotgun wedding" but there were shotguns.

Six years ago Cole and Jenica surprised their family by announcing they would be parents. A year later their family grew again. These high school sweethearts knew from the start they were meant for each other, and that love grew into a family. Reese and Liam were as much a part of this wedding as their parents. We knew the guys would be skeet shooting in the morning and we were excited to get that on film, but we didn't know how explosive that would be. Dean had a blast (take or leave the pun) hanging with these farm boys. Jenica and Cole were married overlooking a lake adjacent to Coles family farm where they will continue to raise their kids. From the first look to the first dance this wedding was so full of emotion and joy, and Reese and Liam were there, a part of it all. Love grows. It grows in many ways, but children are a tangible celebration of love. When a marriage is the culmination of a love story there's so much to celebrate. Jenica and Cole's wedding was a commitment to marriage, but also to their family.

Life Captured On Film

The magnitude of what we do hit home this week. We don’t just provide a service as a vendor on a wedding day. We capture memories and we authentically portray one day that represents two lives intertwining to become one beautiful story.

4th of July wedding in the Canadian Rockies // Calgary Wedding videographer

We've never spent the 4th of July in the US, but the next best thing is spending it with a group of visiting Americans and filming their wedding!

Linh and Kaonou brought friends and family up to Alberta from let's see..... New York, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and I'm sure I missed some in-between.

When you come to get married in the Canadian Rockies, you wanna see some mountains! The Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is l literally nestled in a valley of mountains. We had perhaps the wettest, cloudiest July on record. I was worried the majestic giants would be a no show, but late in the afternoon the fog and rain lifted, just enough to let us film some great shots, and prove that we were surrounded by an epic landscape.

We had a blast filming this wedding. Kaonou is a designer and her elegant, refined dress, was her own creation. Take note of the traditional embroidery design she hand stitched! This crazy, wonderful group of people brought together Vietnamese and Hmong roots, with their American culture, marrying it all together in the Canadian rockies.

And Love Makes Three // Red Deer Alberta Wedding Film // Humble Pie Productions

"And Love Makes Three" is why we film weddings.

It allows us to document life, artisticly tell a couple's story and create an heirloom, so generations from now people can look back and see the moment two people connected thier lives. Samantha and Matt hired us early in 2018. Then in the fall they contaced us to let us know they would be adding to their family just a few weeks before their wedding. Baby Rylan entered the scene just six weeks before his parents big day. Family came in from all over the country to help these two celebate on several levels. The ceremony at the Harevest Garden's in Red Deer, started and ended in the sunshine, but had a quick and fiesty shower go through. We were scrambling to cover equipment while continuing to roll. Samantha and Matt were a wonderful couple to work with. So genuine and caring and already amazing parents. Rylan was one of the most content babies we've ever been around and didn't stray far from Grandma's arms. It was a day filled with so much laughter, layalty and real people.
